ANWR
used to think
as long as we have the continental shelf
and shale oil
maybe we should eschew anwr
because it's some "pristine" wilderness area that might be at risk
but I just saw on television
the part they wanna drill:
it's a vast frozen barren flat plain
near the ocean
like the surface of the moon
if anwr were a football field
the site they want to drill is like a postage stamp
and the pipeline is near there
which is now only running at 30%
if bill clinton had not vetoed it, in 1995
we'd be getting an extra million barrels a day
RIGHT NOW!
which is about what we import from the mideast
and we would be free of mideast oil
from anwr alone
for 30-50 years _________________
