Animals is my favorite album, but I don't think it's the most underrated. I give that to Atom Heart Mother. |

AHM is Dave's least favorite I think I read somewhere.
It's my second fave behind UmmaGumma.
Although Dave resurrected Fat Old Sun on the last few appearances that I am aware of.
You can make a case for ANY PF album not DSOTM or Wall as being underated. DSOTM and Wall are certainly the most popular, but aren't really Pink Floyd in my alleged mind. Every REAL Pink Floyd album has some vocals, some instrumentals, some songs that drive the theme of the album, some songs that just are, some songs that Richard Wright starts out and sets the mood and tone for the song, then Dave comes along and takes over and builds up until Richard retakes it, and back and forth and back and forth. Some songs that Dave starts, and Richard . . . . That's what a Pink Floyd album is. Not some continual rant about how badly life has screwed you over.
I also think if Syd would've continued with the band, they would have achieved all the fame of Small Faces. While one of the most creative minds of his time, his musicianship and drive for perfection just didn't match Dave's. So while Dave was a major upgrade, he maintained the PF style, with his own twists. _________________ "You know nothing of hell!"

Been awhile since I've been here. I forgot how brilliant and salient my points are.
